More Details...

The Thursday night dinner will be at David Burke Prime. We will have a private party menu, and there will be several options for appetizer, main course and dessert. David Burke Prime is located in the lower level of the Grand Pequot Tower. For more info, see their website.

The FossilMan Invitational Heads Up Tournament Training Session will be held in a conference room on the main casino level of the Grand Pequot Tower.

Events:

  • Thursday, September 22, 5pm: Dinner at David Burke Prime - Subsidized
  • Thursday, September 22, 7pm: FossilMan Invitational Heads Up Tournament Training
  • Friday, September 23, 12pm: Bill Hafey Memorial Pairs Event
  • Saturday, September 24, 8:45am: Breakfast at Festival Buffet - Subsidized
  • Saturday, September 24, 11:30am: NLHE
  • Sunday, September 25, 11am: HOSE with a Pot Limit Hold'em Final Table

Structure sheets are available up there on the left. The Pairs structure is the same. The NLHE is now a Deep Stack event with 10K in starting chips. The Mixed Event is HOSE with a Pot Limit Final Table, based on Foxwoods' regular HOSE structure but I added a couple of levels for additional play.

Let the registrations begin!

FARGO 2011 will be from Thursday, September 22, 2011 through Sunday, September 25, 2011.

Thursday, September 22 – Event(s) To Be Determined

Friday, September 23 - Bill Alan Hafey Memorial Pairs Event

Saturday, September 24 - NLHE Event

Sunday, September 25 - Mixed Game Event

Thursday’s events are up in the air at this point because of sponsorship questions and banquet options. As soon as a determination has been made about any events on Thursday, I will post to the mailing list.

Hotel information:

Our hotel rates are good for arrivals from Wednesday, September 21 through checkout on Monday, September 26. In the past, some players have received better rates (for all days) without using our room block. I imagine that this will be case again this year. If you can get a better rate without using our block, please do so. Our block is limited, as always. These room blocks will be closed at the beginning of September, so please plan accordingly.

Room rates are lower than last year for weekdays (Sun-Thurs) and higher for weekends (Fri-Sat). They are as follows:

* Great Cedars: $99 (Sun-Thurs), $149 (Friday) & $199 (Saturday) - Group Code is: 3086

* Two Trees: $59 (Sun-Thurs), $119 (Friday) & $159 (Saturday) - Group Code is: 4418

You can make the reservation online at www.Foxwoods.com or by telephone at 1-800-752-9244 or 1-860-312-3000. If you make the reservation online, the group code will only work without entering your Dream Card information. DO NOT ENTER A DREAM CARD NUMBER.

If you plan to attend book it now. If you are unsure if you can attend, book it now (easy to cancel, hard to get once the hotel is sold out) Do NOT book a room if you do not plan to attend FARGO 2011. Anyone that hasn't registered and paid will have their room canceled or rebooked at rack rate... i.e. you will be kicked to the curb. If you are registering under your great uncle Sal's name because he is a r00ler, let me know so I don't cancel your reservation.

If you arrive after 6 pm, and there is NOT a credit card guarantee on your room - you are subject to cancellation. To protect yourself if you know you are arriving on the later side, it's best to put a credit card guarantee on your room regardless of whether you do it via the Internet or by phone.

FARGO Registration will start in mid-August. Watch this page for more information.
